The latest installment in the horror franchise picks up five years after the events of its predecessor, with Sienna’s desire to have a peaceful Christmas with her extended family becomes a bloody nightmare as Art and Vicky return. It’s ultimatelyrevealed inTerrifier 3that the reason Art keeps coming after Sienna is that she is an angel meant to counter the demonic nature of the killer clown.

In an interview withUSA Today, Leone explained thatthe revelation of Art and Sienna’s connection is exactly what viewers “need to know” at this point of the story, especially “in regard to the supernatural aspect.” Leone also went on to address critiques that theTerrifierfranchise “has no plot”, inviting viewers to be patient as he doles out new information accordingly with each new installment. It just comes down to they need to know exactly who and why Art the Clown was a serial killer in the first place, and I think till I give that piece of information out, I’m going to constantly get hit with “This movie has no plot.”
