I think that’d be a really cool storyline to see — it’s definitely like with Homelander and Butcher, he’s very, I don’t know what to say, it’s likewishy-washy of who he wants to go withbecause he’s so impressionable right now, and he’s still so young. And with havinga crazy dad like Homelander, I feel like there’s definitely a lot that would affect him. AndI think that’d be really interestingto explore and see how that affects him as he grows older.

While Homelander seeks to mold Ryan into his successor, Butcher fights to prevent him from following in Homelander’s footsteps, honoring a promise he made to Ryna’s mother, Becca. Ultimately,The Boysseason 5 may useRyan as the ultimate test of whether nature or nurture determines one’s path.If Ryan chooses to be a hero, he could be the key to stopping Homelander. If he embraces his life as a villain, he might surpass his father as an even more terrifying threat.

The Boys features performances from some of the best actors of their generation, & the hit series is far from the only project they’ve been a part of.

The end of Ryan’s journey will be one of the most defining moments inThe Boysseason 5, and would set the direction for a potential spinoff. Either way, the series could dive further into the young Supe’s upbringing in Vought’s artificial community and the negative consequences of his isolation from the world as he grows older. Given his “impressionable” nature, the Ryan-centered spin-off would have the opportunity to examine his complicated internal conflictsand the external pressures he faces in a world where superpowers are both a blessing and a curse.
