Hailey is the newest available character inThe First Descendantand is aranged DPS character. As the newest option, players will want to know how to unlock her and what she is up to. There are a couple of different ways to unlock her, so check the guide below to see how to do so.
Mostcharacters inThe First Descendantcan be found bygetting blueprints for their various componentsand researching them to unlock the character. Hailey is a little different due to the fact thatshe launched with some of the seasonal content. She is a slightly different character, with a ranged DPS specialty and a chill attribute.

How To Unlock Hailey
All Components & Caliber Cost
As always, Hailey can easily be unlocked by spending enough Caliber. She is a little on the expensive side, at900 Caliber to get her. This is around USD 20, which is a fair amount of money to spend on a character for a game you already have. However, if you want tospend the money and avoid the grind, it may be well worth it.
You can now get Caliber through the premium season pass, but thatalso costs 500 Caliber, which is around $10 USD, so you will be spending money either way. However, the battle pass has some nifty rewards.

Otherwise, you will have toget Hailey through the grind and use the in-game Gold currencyas well as research time to get her components and her as a Descendant, which can take some time. Each of her “fragments” drops from a fair number of places, which she uses in place of blueprints to get her components. Mostly, these drop from theInvasion missions, which are part of theSeason 1 content inThe First Descendant.
You Won’t Have To Grind So Much In The First Descendant Season 1

You will need about36 fragments per component to build it, in addition to the Gold and the other crafting costs. In the tables below, each component andwhat is required for you to unlock itare listed.

Getting Hailey Fast
For the most part, running the new Invasion MissionsinThe First Descendantwill get you all you need to get Hailey. These missions are scattered throughout the map, and it is not hard to find them. The downside is that youcan only run two Invasion dungeons per day, which can only be run twice. That means, at best, you can only do four Invasion missions daily, leaving you with a random amount of fragments.
To ensure you get the most fragments you can, you will want to clear them as fast as possible with aGold ranking score. If you get a Gold score every day on all four missions, it will take about 3 days to be able to unlock herif you are looking at just one of the fragments. In his video, YouTuberthe Full Measure explainsthat you canonly pick 1 of the sets of 3 fragments per Gold Invasionwin, meaning it will take 12 days with no duplicates to get Hailey.
However, you canspeed this up if you are willing to run some of the hard bosses, as each of these can also drop her fragments.
Reinforced Cell
You mayalready have many smaller, more common materials, and you likely have a good idea of where to find them. To get the rarer materials, you can look at the tracking for these materials and decide on the best mission for you. This can be pretty selective, aseach person is running a different Descendant and maybe playing solo or multiplayer, which can change the difficulty of various missions.
However, with the way you have to grind Hailey, you willlikely have most of the materials you need when you finish grinding her fragments. All that said, it will take some patience to get Hailey, but it is possible you can wait for her to become more available post Season 1. There’s alsoplenty of time in Season 1to unlock her the organic way, so try to be patient and justplay your daily Invasions and wait it out.
you may speed this up a little with the Elite Dungeons if you like, but if you are playing the game anyway, youwill likely unlock Hailey through natural progression. There is less reason to rush it or spend real money on the unlock, as you should have plenty of other Descendants to get you through this bit of Season 1 before more content drops in October. There is also afairly large Battle Passthat will take some time to work through.
