Some of the best Maxis creations are found onThe Sims 4Gallery. While expansions feature most Townies, others are exclusively downloaded from the official Maxis account. This includes Sims that were only in trailers or box art, characters from past games, or even updated families. Adding them to your save can spice things up, create new stories, or allow them to simply become NPCs. It can be much faster than making several new Sims.
The major downside is that none of these families have existing relationships inThe Sims 4. They aren’t friends, have no romantic history, and aren’t evenrivals with anyone in the world. This can make it feel bizarre when they should have some kind of link to old neighborhoods or distant relatives. At minimum, consider moving them in with their intended house and get them a job that fits their background.

Additionally, since there are seven of them, it can be very hard to find a suitable house with their low 20,000 Simleons.
All the Sul Suls are given traits to help their real jobs: George L’Ernitage and Ceous Leto are Scientists, Marcus Raven an Astronaut, Cole Henson a Bodybuilder, and Bill Wu a Programmer. Brett Stubbs seems to be more of a lazy grifter that wants money. Finally, Aileen Rauvu wants to harass others and would fit well as a Criminal.

Several of the background Sims fromTS4: Get Famoustrailer were added to their own household. Many are meant to be NPC roles, which can be tough to achieve without mods. Still, each can also pursue an acting career and gain celebrity status of their own.
Chaz Goldstein is a tough bouncer who keeps nobodies out of the most exclusive clubs, like the pesky teen fans Kaylee Maguire and JC Putnam. They aren’t nearly as much trouble as Poppy Boyd, who spies on celebrities as a paparazzo. Sarai Bellamy stays behind the camera as a commercial director, while Giuliana Harley is her trusty makeup artist.

Sierra Moss and Dave Richardson are the detective duo inTS4: Get To Work. Sierra is more by the book, relying on evidence, interrogation, and hunches to close a case. Dave prefers to stake things out and hides, going so far as wearing a llama costume for most of his outfits. Dave only really sheds this in extreme weather fromTS4: Seasons.
Players have speculated that the pair is a spoof ofLaw & Order, with Sierra looking a bit like Olivia Benson and Dave given traits akin to Odafin Tutuola. But, when given autonomous freedom, the two can wind up doing all sorts of activities. This even includes the twohaving kids if Neighborhood Stories is left on.
5The Climate Family Is Ready For Every Weather
All Four Seasons In One House
The Climates each represent one of the four seasons presented inTS4: Seasons. Arthur is cheerful and active, like new spring flowers. His wife Janine is a bit more serious, waiting for renewal like autumn. Older daughter Summer is exactly like her name, fiery and ready for action. Finally, baby Nicolas spends most of his days hibernating like it is winter.
The four also dress for their particular matching season, which makes the whole family standout when traveling together. This is less obvious when it gets extremely hot or cold, as they revert to more common clothes. But, going to a party or wedding can be a bit garish.
4A Good Restaurant Depends On The Back Of The House
They Live To Serve Mankind
The kitchen crew ofTS4: Dine Outhas all moved in together as the Back of the House Flair family. They are perfect if you are focusing around the Chez Llama restaurant, which is one of thebest lots made by EA. Running it can be a pain, though, due to both customers and chef pathing being rather glitched.
Olivia Fredrick is the owner who must balance profit with quality and service. Lucas MacCoy is the maître d’hotel who welcomes guests to their seats and checks up on them. Carl Flipper serves as the main cook, but is often covered in grease. Micah Henley, Julia Ramos, and Hanna Holder are all wait staff, though their uniforms are better suited for a causal dining location.
3Malcolm Landgraab Becomes An Eccentric Geezer
They Are Busting Out Again
An older version of Malcolm Landgraab and his family can be found in the Gallery. They are remakes of their original appearances from the console version ofTS1andThe Sims: Bustin Out. While it bypasses Malcolm’s young adult years,his age up at least makes some sense.
Sims 4’s Base Game Lot Refresh Is Worth Updating Your Legacy Saves For
The Sims 4 refreshed residential lots in Willow Creek and Oasis Springs. It is much easier to identify who lives there from objects and designs.
Malcolm still has the same traits of Evil and Snob, but has added Self-Absorbed to the list. His second wife, Mom, is a Slob that mostly dresses in bathrobes. Young adult children Mimi and Dudley have both the Lazy and Slob traits, giving them little redeeming qualities. It feels fitting to move into the default Landgraab home and trash the place.
2Sebastian Michaelson Is A Proud Patriarch

Sebastian appeared in most of the marketing materials forTS4: Growing Together, but for some reason, wasn’t part of the expansion. Maxis did solve this later on, though this means he winds up with no blood relationship with his daughter, Celeste Michaelson. While he can visit them, Sebastian cannot establish a family dynamic.
But, Sebastian is still a fun Sim on his own. He has the Active and Childish traits as an Elder, which makes him often goof around when given free will. As a widower, he is also in the perfect place toask other Sims out on dates.
1Callia Maebey Is The Face Of The Sims 4
No One Can Escape Her Gaze
Even if someone doesn’t know her name, nearly everyThe Sims 4player has been assaulted by Callia Maebey’s glare. She has been popping up in media and promos for years now. This culminated in an April Fool’s 2022 prank where she took over the entire game’s main menu.
Thankfully, she isn’t as haunting when added to a playable world. Callia has the High Maintenance, Erratic, and Self-Absorbed traits. She needs several expansions, includingTS4: Spa Dayto fully function. Even then, nearly all of her outfits are the same, causing her to swim and attend formal events in a sweater if not given a makeover inThe Sims 4.
