Disney Dreamlight Valleyhas finally unveiled all the new features that will be coming to the game as part of the Tales of Agrabah update and while Aladdin and Jasmine are exciting additions, there is so much more about this update to be excited about. Most notably, some major quality-of-life changes are coming that will completely change the way you play.

In addition to the new characters, Tales of Agrabah will include several other features that are focused less on new content and more on making a play session more seamless. This includes items that help speed up the cooking process, changes to the UI in several areas, and even an exciting new feature in theDisney Dreamlight Valleypremium shop.

Cooking Has Never Been Easier

Prepare Meals With Tiana’s Slow Cooker & Finally Search For Recipes

There is one feature that has been one of the most highly requested additions toDisney Dreamlight Valleysince it launched, and it has finally arrived. The ability to search for a recipeis something that only grew increasingly necessary as different events and theDisney Dreamlight Valleyexpansionswere added. Before this addition, slowly scrolling through a list of all the recipes was tedious and lengthened the cooking process significantly.

“Is It Accurate Advertising?": Keen-Eyed Disney Dreamlight Valley Fans Notice Something Amiss About The New Magic Carpet

Disney Dreamlight Valley is bringing Aladdin’s flying carpet in the upcoming Tales of Agrabah update, but there might be more to the carpet.

While it could be broken down into categories such as appetizer or entrée, it was occasionally hard to know which section a meal might fall into if it wasn’t something obvious, which meant that instead of decreasing the amount of time spent searching, the categories could double it if you accidentally scrolled through the wrong one. Additionally, there was no way to know if you were missing a recipe until you scrolled all the way through to check or scrolled through your recipe list in the main menu.

In addition to the appetizer, entrée, and dessert categories on the recipe menu, players will now also be able to sort by Quest and Restaurant Order, so you no longer need to memorize what recipes you were preparing.

Now, players will have the ability to open up the cooking UI and search for any recipe in the game. If you have it, it will appear, and if you don’t, you’ll know right away. This will not only make preparing a quest meal or friendship gift significantly easier, but it’ll save time as well. That being said, that’s not the onlynewDreamlight Valleycooking featurethat can save you time. If you playedA Rift In Time, then you might be familiar with the Ancient Cooker, and now the base game has its very own, Tiana’s Slow Cooker.

Disney Dreamlight Valley’s Tales Of Agrabah Update Looks Great, But Something’s Still Missing

The Tales of Agrabah update is bringing a lot of new & exciting content to Disney Dreamlight Valley, but a few notable friends are still missing.

Unlike the Ancient Cooker, however, it appears thatTiana’s Slow Cooker will be exclusive to her restaurant and only have one available for use at a time. The Slow Cooker will allow you to queue up meals in advance for the next time you play. However, considering that the Ancient Cooker uses Mist, which is easier to farm than the Dreamlight required by Tiana’s Cooker, this specific feature is primarily going to be most significant for those who only have the base game.

Floating Islands Now Come Complete With Water

Get Rid Of Those Hideous Water-Based Villager Homes

While you likely didn’t miss thatDisney Dreamlight Valleyis getting more floating islands, one thing you might’ve missed about them is that some ofthese new islands will include water. While it’s unlikely that there will be any form of terraforming, allowing players to customize the amount and location of the water, it’s still something to be excited about. With so many water-based homes for villagers and only one main area to place them, Dazzle Beach has become crowded over time.

Disney Dreamlight Valley Reveals Next Update & Fans Only Have One Question

The newest Disney Dreamlight Valley update will bring characters from Aladdin into the Valley but fans are concerned about one new feature.

Many players even had to resort to pushing the homes way off from shore, out of reach, and only moving them up when completing quests, just so they don’t occupy all the space or ruin the design of the area. Now, with water on Floating Islands, there’s finally somewhere to move those homes so they’re not only out of sight but also more spaced out. Since it’s unlikely that fishing will be possible in the water on the islands, there should be plenty of room to decorate how you please.

Manage Your Inventory & Shop With Ease

Sort Your Items, Check On Gifts, & Pin Items In The Shop

Perhaps one of the biggest changes that may seem small on the surface is the UI change happening to the inventory and shop. While it may not be as exciting as a new addition to the game, the inventory is something you access several times throughout a play session, and now it will be even easier to properly sort through. With two expansions and more to come, this is incredible news to those who have expanded beyond the base game.

Hilariously Realistic Disney Dreamlight Valley Design Breaks The Illusion Of Magic By Taking Players “Behind The Buildings To The Back Lot”

Disney Dreamlight Valley is full of magic and whimsy but one creator has decided to design a hyper-realistic industrial location, instead.

Between all the fish, sea creatures, fruits, vegetables, spices, and crafting materials you find, it can be easy to forget what exactly came from where when it comes to dropping it all off in chests. This is why it’s great thatDisney Dreamlight Valleywill now have an icon for each item in the inventory that shows which expansion it’s from. Whether it’sStorybook Vale,A Rift in Time, or just the base game, everyone can easily manage and sort through their supplies.

Furthermore – and perhaps more exciting –the inventory will now also display if an item you have on hand is a villager’s favorite gift for the day. Gone are the days of trekking back and forth between every chest you have just to find the one specific flower a villager wants. Now, while you’re gathering materials for the day, you’re able to know in advance if there’s something there that you shouldn’t put away.

“I Think I Have A Problem”: Disney Dreamlight Valley Player Goes Just A Little Overboard Stocking Up Supplies

After being short on a certain material, one Disney Dreamlight Valley fan has made sure they’ll never run out again by stocking up to an extreme.

Finally, another somewhat unexpected change is the ability to manage the Premium Shop inDisney Dreamlight Valleyas well. While it will still behave like normal, with the items rotating out every so often, you will now have the ability to pin items and keep them in the premium shopuntil you unpin them or purchase them. This can be a great way touse your moonstones on a Star Pathwhile still not missing out on items in the Premium Shop, since you’re able to come back for them later.

Customize Your Home To Suit Any Occasion

Custom Room Sizes Mean A House That Feels Like A Home

The last majorchange coming toDisney Dreamlight Valleyin terms of quality-of-life features is custom room sizes. Until the Tales of Agrabah update is released, the only option when expanding a house is to add a square room and make that square bigger or smaller on a pre-specified scale. While it’s great to have the option to add new rooms at all, it does offer a boring baseline in terms of decorating your home.

What is your favorite house skin in Disney Dreamlight Valley so far?

I love the Disney Dreamlight Valley feature that allows players to place multiple homes across their valleys. It’s great that you can not only access your home from several places, but you can also tie them into your decorative style in the various biomes. My favorite skin so far is the Pink Castle I bought through the premium store. The one that annoys me the most, however, is the house from Up. It looks beautiful, but I had to swap it out eventually because I became fed up with waiting for it to float back to the ground to enter.

Now,Disney Dreamlight Valleyis offering the ability to make custom room sizes. While the shapes are still locked to squares and rectangles for now, this does at least allow you to make long libraries, large kitchens, a small study, and a variety of other unique roomsthat will create a more authentic home feel. Perhaps one day in the future we may even see the addition of things like circular rooms or completely customizable shapes.

Disney Dreamlight Valley’s Endless Fetch Quests Are Getting Old, But The Solution Is Simple

Disney Dreamlight Valley has a problem with repetitive content, but some other games provide clear examples of how to improve the situation.

With all the exciting new content and features, this may be the most well-rounded update the developers have showcased yet. Not only does it continue to expand the world of the game with new characters, quests, and enjoyment, but the quality of life changes might as well have been hand-picked from a basket of the most requested features by players. If the developers continue to listen to feedback as they have here,Disney Dreamlight Valleyis sure to be enjoyed for years to come.

Disney Dreamlight Valley

In Disney Dreamlight Valley, players will create their own Disney avatar as they interact with some of the most iconic characters in Disney and Pixar history. The story surrounds the dream castle and the realm it resides in, which is a place where several characters, hero and villain alike, have lived together in harmony. However, an evil force known as the Forgetting consumes the kingdom. It’s up to the player to solve puzzles, reunite characters, and embark on feature-rich character storylines to save the Dream realm.
