There might not be many differentSith Lordsroaming the galaxy onscreen inStar Wars, but one incredible cosplay has brought another Sith to life. The Sith were believed to be extinct for centuries during the time of theStar Warsprequel trilogy. In actuality, though their numbers had been reduced to a single pair, the Sith were simply biding their time in the shadows. Darth Sidious expertly avoided the Jedi’s suspicion until he took theirChosen Oneas his new apprentice and took over the galaxy. This cosplay adds yet another to Sidious' ranks.

Dressed in black robes and wielding duel lightsabers glowing in a telltale crimson color, this Sith looks ready for a fight. The post is captioned with part of theSith Code: “Through Passion, I gain Strength. Through Strength, I gain Power. Through Power, I gain Victory. Through Victory my chains are Broken.” The Sith Lord looks like she’s beginning a deliberate walk forward, surely to begin a battle she intends to win.
What Is The Purpose Of The Rule Of Two?
The Sith were largely unsuccessful in their attempts to gain power because they each sought the power for themselves, leading to betrayal and infighting within the Order of dark side users. After a period of war between the Jedi and the Sith that left the Sith numbers all but gone, Darth Bane instituted theRule of Twoin order to prevent the Sith from succumbing to their own greed. The Rule of Two states that there can only be two Sith at a time: a master and an apprentice.
The master would wield all the power of the dark side, while the apprentice would learn, waiting for the day they could overthrow the master and take his place. Darth Bane’s strategy proved useful, not only ensuring the Sith’s survival but also providing the perfect cover that led the Jedi to overlook their movements. The Rule of Two ultimately helped Darth Sidious achieve the Sith’s ultimate goal inStar Wars: to rule the galaxy. Unfortunately for him, the Rule of Two also brought about his downfall when he was destroyed by his apprentice, Darth Vader.
