10 Strands Strategies To Quickly Solve The Theme

Strands is one of New York Times' many puzzle games that consists of a unique 6x8 word search that requires players to use zig-zag solutions.

If those hints are still not enough for you, don’t worry as we still have more to come. Next up is a boxwith all of the category namesfor your perusal.

PIXIE

TROLL

This category can be really tricky depending on whether or not you have noticed the blue category yet or not. SPRITE is something easily placed in this category and is most similar to PIXIE. In fact, I would possibly put it here before TROLL depending on what words I had left at that point. You could spend a lot of time-wasting “one away” guesses and not realize what word actually doesn’t belong. However, SPRITE is also one of the biggest hints for the blue category, so you may well recognize that one first.

SPAM

TRASH

These folders could help you organize your mail, unless you are like me in which case your inbox just continues to get bogged down further and further until you are forced to delete most of it. Apparently, even Google runs out of space eventually. At which point, you not only have to delete it once, but you also must empty out the TRASH a second time to clear up space. Luckily, this is not too difficult once all the emails have transferred over, but depending on how much SPAM you have, it could be more difficult than it looks.

8 NYT Spelling Bee Strategies To Keep Your Streak Alive

The Spelling Bee puzzles created as a New York Times game build a streak of correct answers to get you more points, but they can be hard to keep.

SQUIRT

STARRY

This is the other potentially tricky category, as it is where SPRITE actually belongs. CRUSH is another big hint as to what this category might be, but I think STARRY is one of the big ones as well. I don’t see SQUIRT where I live very often and am not sure I can picture it in my head, but it is one of the few words left that could potentially be a citrus-flavored soda. That makes it a lot easier to put this category together, but it could be a lot harder if you haven’t cleared the yellow category.

PHISH

TOWED

This last category would likely be the hardest to spot. PHISH could potentially end up with the rest of the email-related words, and the rest don’t make a lot of sense anywhere. That is usually a good sign you have done something right, but if you get stuck before you have solved everything else, it can be a challenge to undo all of that. With any luck, you can have it over and done with by the time you get to this one and you won’t have to think too hard about it.
