Today’s Connections Category Hints
MARCH 26 #654
If you need a few nudges, I have everything you need to get started on this puzzle. I would say its about a medium difficulty, at least for me,and I got thrown off at the end of the puzzle for a very silly reason looking back on it now. However, you’re able to avoid my silly mistakes by learning from them, and I have four clues to help you get started without any spoilers:
Wordle History: Today’s Answer & All Past Words
Wordle is a simple daily word game that has taken the internet by storm. With only 6 chances to get the right answer, players may need a little help.
If you need some extra hints, you can get the category names in the boxes below, or you can skip forward to the spoilers to finish off a category that’s been giving you issues. Sometimes, knowing which word doesn’t belong is the only way to truly finish off a puzzle.

NAPKIN
PLATE
If you are looking to impress your dinner guests, you will have to know where all of these things go. That does change by culture and tradition,as well as by how fancy you want to be. My grandma loves to pull out the fine china and put out a full table setting, and that’s probably why my brain connected these four things as quickly as it did. I have been lucky enough to experience a very fancy meal once as well, where the silverware was layered four deep on either side.
SHOT
THRUST
This one was where I started to get quite confused, particularly with ROSE and SHOT. I was one away from this one several times, but BOUNCE is where I was misled. I knew FLEW had to be in this one, but the rest of the words felt like a toss-up, and I’m still happy to include BOUNCE in this category under any other circumstances. If I had caught on to the purple category, I would have gotten it, but I didn’t.
12 Letter Boxed Strategies To Win Quickly
The Letter Boxed game for the New York Times mobile app asks you to connect letters to form words while using various strategies to win quickly.
DISK
DRIVE
I got this one first, and I was able to grab it up pretty fast. I saw DISK and that sent me on a hunt for words that could go with it. I thought about PLATE, but there wasn’t really anything else that fit that idea. Luckily, this category was fairly straightforward in a way not every blue category is. If you have had to store anything on a computer or phone, hopefully, this one looks pretty clear to you as well.
PINOT
QUARTZ
This is where I felt very silly. PINOT and ROSE seemed to be a wine category for a moment, but there weren’t any other options. I also did not register thatGALLEON was misspelled. I read it as “gallon” but I think that has to do with how often I have to read things written in British English. At this point, I just kind of ignore extra letters in words and that is very unhelpful for several differentConnectionspuzzles.
