A new board game based on theCall of Dutyfranchise is still coming out, although its new release window is a year later than originally expected. Back in 2023, Arcane Wonders raised over $225,000 to fund the production ofCall of Duty: The Board Game.The new game features maps from variousCall of Dutygames, along withiconic characters from the franchise. AlthoughCall of Duty: The Board Gamewas originally for release in 2024, production and fulfillment was delayed. Arcane Wonders has now provided an update on when backers and board game enthusiasts can expect to see the game finally hit tables.
According to a press release from Arcane Wonders,Call of Duty: The Board Gamewill now come out in Q3 to Q4 of this year. An updateon Kickstarterfrom late last year provided some more details about the delays.“We expected things like approvals from the licensor to go quicker along the way,” the update read. “Who knew that so many real world guns, that we frequently see in other board games, would have so many legal trademarks!” Still, Arcane Wonder expects production to finish up this summer and for the product to start shipping out to backers by Q3.
