Warning: This article contains spoilers for Agatha All Along.
One fan-favoriteMCUcharacter was forgotten about at the end ofAgatha All Along. Kathryn Hahn’s return as original Salem witch Agatha Harkness in the MCU’s Phase 5 marked a return to Westview, New Jersey, withAgatha All Alongpicking up three years after the events of 2021’sWandaVision. Agatha Harkness had spent this time trapped asnosy neighbor Agnes O’Connorby the Scarlet Witch’s spell, and she had continued to live in Ralph Bohner’s home, thoughAgatha All Alongsaw her break free from this spell and begin a new journey in the MCU.
Agatha All Along’sfirst two episodes saw the return of severalcharacters first seen inWandaVision. This included a number of Westview’s residents, such as John Collins, Sarah and Harold Proctor, and Sharon Davis, who joined Agatha Harkness and her coven on the Witches' Road. The Phase 5 series also explored more ofAgatha Harkness' story in the MCU, developing her connection to Death, the Scarlet Witch, the Darkhold and her son, Nicholas Scratch. However, one piece of Agatha’s story was forgotten about, raising questions about the fate of a fan-favorite character.

Señor Scratchy Was Forgotten At The End Of Agatha All Along
Señor Scratchy Is Agatha Harkness' Pet Rabbit
Even though he appeared in the series' first two episodes, returning after his debut inWandaVision, Agatha Harkness' pet rabbit, Señor Scratchy, did not appear inAgatha All Along’sfinale.Señor Scratchy is perhaps the cutest character inAgatha All Along, and was often seen at Agatha Harkness' side inWandaVision, notably during the Westview talent show and during Agatha Harkness' reveal of her true nature to Wanda Maximoff. Señor Scratchy is named after a pseudonym for Mephisto in Marvel Comics, but has had no connection to the Faustian demon established in the MCU.
Señor Scratchy could have also been named after Agatha Harkness' son, Nicholas Scratch, whom Agatha lost to Death several centuries earlier.

Billy Maximoff returned toAgatha Harkness' home inAgatha All Along’sfinale, where he threatened to banish the ghost of Agatha herself, but instead chose to close the door to the Witches' Road, engraving the names of its victims in its place. Following this, Billy presumably left Westview with his spirit guide, Agatha Harkness, to find his brother, Tommy. No mention was given to Señor Scratchy’s fate. He may simply be left alone in the house, which would be one ofAgatha All Along’sbiggest and most unforgivable tragedies.
Agatha All Along’s Original Señor Scratchy Plan Would Have Been Great
Shortly after the release ofAgatha All Along’sfinale, series creator Jac Schaeffer spoke to Mallory Rubin and Joanna Robinson onThe Ringer-Versepodcast, revealing more about the series in a deep dive. Thankfully, Schaeffer discusses Señor Scratchy towards the end of the podcast (at timestamp 3:26:20), confirming thatthe adorable rabbit was initially set to have a larger role in the series. In fact, in early plans, Señor Scratchy would have joined Agatha Harkness,Billy Maximoff and the covenon the Witches' Road.
That is a bunny named Peanut Butter, and we love Peanut Butter… We had so many ideas for Señor Scratchy, and he was supposed to go on the Road. You guys saw that, that Joe [Locke] was holding Señor Scratchy. The early idea was that he was going to run on the Road with Señor Scratchy, but it becomes a thing of, if we’re approaching the time we have to shoot the thing, and I haven’t figured out how to pay it off, then it goes out the window… We got to the point where we were going to shoot Billy running into… We had shot the stuff up top because that was in LA, so we shot him on the street holding Señor Scratchy, and then two months later, we’re in the basement, and he’s supposed to run down, and I’m like, ‘yeah, I haven’t, there’s nothing for Scratchy to do on the Road, there’s no pay off, none of this is working, animal wranglers are expensive,’ so it went in the column, my favorite column, of story for another day.

This could have explained Scratchy’s real nature in the MCU, though it seems there was no clear pay off for the rabbit’s journey on the Road, so this was cut. It would have been fantastic and entertaining to see the coven try and handle taking care of Señor Scratchy on the Road while also battling the trials and tribulations that the Road presented.Agatha All Along’soriginal plan could have revealed him to be a shape-shifting character, perhaps even the demon Mephisto, but this didn’t come to fruition.
Where Could Señor Scratchy Be After Agatha All Along?
Agatha Harkness & Billy Maximoff Left Westview In Agatha All Along’s Finale
Unfortunately,Jac Schaeffer didn’t actually reveal what became of Señor Scratchy at the end ofAgatha All Along, though she did reassure that the rabbit is"fine.“There has been speculation that Billy Maximoff adopted Scratchy afterAgatha Harkness' death, which could mean that he is living happily with Rebecca and Jeff Kaplan, or perhaps Agatha has used magic to bring Scratchy along on her new mission with Billy. The ending ofAgatha All Alonghas raised many questions for future MCU projects to address, so it would be great to see Señor Scratchy return.
