After over a year and a half since the previous installment came to an end,Yellowjacketsseason 3 is set to release its first two episodes on Paramount+ and Showtime. Theend ofYellowjacketsseason 2featured a shocking event in both timelines, with Natalie’s death in the present timeline and the survivors' cabin burning down in the middle of winter during the ’90s timeline. Then came nearly 21 months of torture for fans, waiting to see what happened to the teens and their adult counterparts.
Aside from a few new faces,Yellowjackets' castremains mostly the same for season 3. The ’90s timeline will continue to show the characters in full-on survival mode as they deal with mysterious aspects of the “Wilderness.” Meanwhile, the other half ofYellowjacketsseason 3’s storywill follow the fallout of Natalie’s death, as Shauna, Misty, Lottie, Taissa, and Van continue to deal with their past, albeit all very differently.

Interestingly, there’s still the possibility ofYellowjackets' bonus episode, which was thought to be released between seasons 2 and 3. The bonus would have technically brought season 2’s total to 10 episodes, however, it was seemingly delayed. ThoughYellowjackets' co-creator Ashley Lyle has confirmed that the bonus episode exists, it’s still unclear when it will be released and how it will affect season 3’s release plans.
