Stardew Valley’s giant 1.6 update finally has a set release date for console and mobile players. The latest update released earlier this year for PC, and was one of the largest content drops for the game. Other platforms had to wait because developer ConcernedApe wanted 1.6 to work with as few errors as possible once released on platforms other than PC.
Stardew Valley’s 1.6 update was a huge content drop, introducing four new festivals/events, one in the desert, two for fishing, and one for the summer. A new farm layout was also added in the Meadowlands, going on to become one ofthe best-ranked farm maps, especially for those focusing on animal products. Possibly the largest change was the introduction of a mastery system. This system was leveled up by doing the core parts ofStardew Valleyand would unlock new specialized perks at set levels.

All console players will be able to play 1.6 from this date, including those with a Nintendo Switch. In general,Stardew Valleyis not a demanding game from a technical or graphical aspect, which allows it to be released on mobile devices more easily than other games would be able to. The same rules for restarting to have a full new experience will also apply on mobile.
Though it may have taken a bit, it is a gift thatStardew Valley1.6 will launch on other platformsand hopefully run as smoothly as possible.
