Developer and publisher Riot Games pushes out regular updates for League of Legends. This is still the case for this year, so check out the League of Legends 2025 patch schedule.
League of Legends 2025 Patch Schedule
In a dev update, Riot announced that they will be changing how they refer to LoL updates and patches. Before, the patch nomenclature was composed of two different numbers, such as 14.20. In this example, 14 was the season and 20 was the patch number for that season.
However, come 2025, League of Legends will have anew Season structure. The year will begin with Season 1, and this year will have 3 seasons. The new patch nomenclature is now YEAR.SEASON.PATCH_NUMBER, with the first patch named 25.S1.1. Each season will focus on a different part of Runeterra, andSeason One will take us to Noxus.
By Patch 25.04, Riot Games decided to change the patch nomenclature again. They opted for a simpler YY.## format.

All dates are in Pacific Time. All updates are on Wednesdays except those marked with an asterisk (*) which happens on Thursdays, instead.
