InWill Trentseason 3, episode 5,Faith’s mother, Evelyn, gets kidnapped from the GBI agent’s new home.When Faith realizes Evelyn’s missing, she moves heaven and earth to find her. There is nothing that Faith won’t do to get her mother back, and her dedication results in Evelyn’s rescue and the best episode ofWill Trentseason 3 (so far). Through it all, Will and Angie’s drama doesn’t get any screen time, nor is it mentioned. All the attention is on Faith and her mother, as it should be.

The gripping hour explores the complex relationship between Faith and Evelyn,whose problems date back to the day Faith, still a teenager, told her mother she was pregnant. “Breathe with Me” builds upon a dynamic that isn’t often shown but has been teased in the past. Meanwhile, the tension between Will and Angie is nowhere to be seen. For those reasons,it is a standout episode in the show’s history. Plus, episode 5 ofWill Trentseason 3 further highlights that Will’s most important relationshipis with Faith.
