According toFightful Select’s Sean Ross Sapp, the entire angle surrounding The Rock and Rhodes wasa last-minute creation. WWE’s creative team reportedly didn’t know Rock would appear on the Feb. 21 episode ofWWE SmackDownuntil days prior. While Rhodes and Seth Rollins attempted to make sense of Rock’s “soul” comment during their promo onWWE Raw, Rock openly shed his “Final Boss” persona on Twitter and promised something “disruptive” was on the way. How this might affect theWreslteMania 41main event is unclear.
There have also been reports from numerous outlets abouttheWrestleMania 41card still being in a state of flux.
