Marvel’sX-Menline recently announced a brand-new series for another fan-favorite character, finally givingEmma Frosther first solo series in over 20 years. Following in the footsteps of the recentRogue: The Savage Land, the series won’t be set in the present day. Instead, Marvel Comics will revisit Emma’s story at another point in X-Men history, taking readers back to her roots in the villainous group, the Hellfire Club.

As announced by Marvel, writer Amy Chu and artist Andrea Di Vito are teaming up for thefive-part limited series titledEmma Frost: The White Queen, set before she was the X-Men’s own diamond-skinned diva. David Nakayama’s cover art showcases the White Queen sitting on her throne while the 80s versions of Wolverine and Storm rush behind.

Emma has had a lot of iconic costumesover the years, but the cover shows that she’ll be wearing her traditional look from the character’s very first appearances, allowing the White Queen to serve once again as one of the X-Men’s fiercest adversaries.
