When it comes toYu-Gi-Oh!games, Konami has cornered the market. The company has long been the franchise’s sole publisher, pumping out titles since the late 90s. Last year, the newest game in the series was revealed, based on the seventh anime series.Yu-Gi-Oh! RushDuelis currently in developmentfor the Switch, and a release date has just been announced.

Japanese players who are ready to duel can pick up the latestYu-Gi-Oh!game on July 11, 2025, and pre-orders will open later on this month on April 22. All pre-orders will come with an amiibo card, and first-print copies will include three exclusive physical cards. The game will follow the events ofYu-Gi-Oh! SEVENS, so players can expect to encounter familiar characters and experience moments from the show. The anime hasn’t been localized for western audiences, and there’s no word yet ifYu-Gi-Oh! RushDuelwill be released outside of Japan.

Over the years, there have beennumerous changes to how theYu-Gi-Oh!games are played. A Rush Duel, for example, changes things up quite a bit, allowing players the ability to normal summon as many monsters as they like. These new rules will be part of the gameplay ofRush Duelswhen it releases.

Konami has put outa lot ofYu-Gi-Oh!titles, dating all the way back to the Game Boy Advance. Those who have played a title on the Switch know how perfect the console’s touchscreen is for the playstyle of card-based games.Yu-Gi-Oh! RushDuelshould be a natural fit when it releases later this year.
